Congratulations! You made it through 2020, a trying year to say the least. We are thankful for all our Black Chicken Society members and friends, who have made this year bearable, and dare we say fun!
If 2020 taught us anything, regardless of the closures and inability to travel, we can still share amazing moments with you all—virtually. While we eagerly wait to welcome you back to the winery, we are starting the year with a “letting the good wine flow” mantra. This includes Facebook Live and Zoom virtual tasting events. Let us keep the parties going!
Our first virtual event is a Facebook Live taking place on Friday, January 22nd, with hosts Bob Biale and Pat Jeffries (Retail Sales Manager). They will be talking about what is happening at the winery and what exciting plans we have for the new year.
Also, you can expect our Wine Club Manager, Rebecca Tschauder, and Social Media Coordinator, Maura Postlethwait, (after every club shipment), to walk you through the latest club releases. In addition, we will have Facebook Live Bootcamps where hosts Bob Biale and Winemaker, Tres Goetting, dive deep into the Spring and Fall releases.
We are jumping into 2021 with the release of the 2019 vintage, which Winemaker, Tres Goetting, is calling his “best vintage yet”. More importantly, the 2019 vintage marks the 21st Birthday of the first ‘legal’ Black Chicken Zinfandel! Time flies when you are having fun. From our beginning days of selling the Black Chicken Zinfandel out of the garage to now being able to share it nationwide, this is surely something to celebrate. We hope you join us for the festivities to come!
We have scheduled some events for 2021 with the hopes of re-opening in the coming months. Of course, these will all adhere to the most current safety standards. We are hopeful to have more events announced through the year. As you know, the current climate is ever-evolving, and we appreciate all of your patience. Plan to regularly check our website for all the scheduled events at biale.com/events/.
At the moment, we are not permitted to host in-person tastings, but we are still standing by for curbside pick-up for your Biale fix. If you call the winery, you will receive an answer from one of our wonderful staff members. They will be able to help with any wine orders, account, and shipping questions, and more.
On another note, our website has received substantial facelift, or should we say a whole new look! You can expect more content on each vineyard site, a video story about the history behind Robert Biale Vineyards, and so much more.
