20-year Black Chicken Society Members share their love for Biale

On Saturday, June 8, 2024, Robert Biale Vineyards celebrated the 20th Anniversary of our wine club, the Black Chicken Society. We treated our special members who have been with us from the start to an elegant dinner. We were curious to learn why these loyal members love Biale so much.  Here are some of the responses:

John & Louise Stevens said:

“We keep buying Biale wines (for more than 20 years now) because of Bob Biale’s dedication to making the best Zinfandel wine from each vineyard. Bob is an outstanding farmer/winemaker and he is complimented by his professional staff. They strive to bring out the unique flavor spectrum for each vineyard and they succeed! Biale Zins are all different reflecting the vineyard age, soils, the yearly/weekly variation in climatic conditions, and the amount of TLC the vines get. Bob and his staff bestow lavish amounts of TLC on the grape vines during the whole growing season to produce the best Zinfandel each vineyard is capable of. This combined with Biale’s ability to source from the best vineyards in the Napa and Sonoma valleys, yields the broad variety of Zinfandels that keep us coming back to Biale year after year. “

Timothy & Joellyn Ball said:

“Every time we get open a bottle of Black Chicken and then tell a new friend the story of the secret party line code and then see the smile when they take their first sip! Just like we remember doing on the back porch! What about our old friends, they already know the code! “

“Before last week, I would have said my favorite moments and experiences have been when I introduced others to the brand. I’ve had more than a few Wow! moments at client dinners when I discovered Biale was on the wine list and I ordered for the table–one of those was at Eleven Madison Park several years ago. But after last week and the 20th anniversary dinner, that moment/experience is by far my favorite. What a wonderful event! You have no idea how much I needed that evening.”
